3 buses caught fire within an hour in the capital

3 buses caught fire within an hour in the capital. Miscreants set fire to three buses in one hour in the capital. Buses were set on fire in Gulisthan, Mirpur and Kalabagan between 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm on Saturday.

According to the fire service, miscreants set fire to a bus transporting Rajnigandha in Gulistan at around 9:30 pm. Around 10:30 a bus of Trust Paribahan was set on fire in Mirpur and a bus of Metro Service in Kalabagan.Duty Officer of Fire Service, Anwarul Islam Dolan, said that miscreants set fire to buses in Gulisthan at around 9:30 pm, Mirpur Mazar Road and Kalabagan at around 10:30 pm. The fire service reached the spot and brought the fire under control. 

On October 29, the BNP called for a strike across the country in protest against the cancellation of the BNP’s general meeting on October 28. After that, the law and order forces arrested the party’s top level leaders and activists including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Later, like-minded parties including BNP and Jamaat are giving programs like blockade and hartal after a day or two demanding the resignation of the government, elections under a non-partisan government and the release of the arrested leaders and activists. 

In continuation of that, the BNP announced nationwide mass communication on December 21 to 23 (Thursday to Saturday) and total blockade program on Sunday (December 24). Jamaat and like-minded parties agreed to this.
