64 Bottles of Alcohol Found in Bags of Bangladeshi Footballers My News Bangladesh

Bashundhara Kings Bangladeshi footballers went to Maldives to play in the AFC Cup last September. Five Bangladeshi footballers of the team were bringing alcohol in bags on their way back. Customs officials at Shahjalal International Airport got 64 bottles of liquor from them.

Those five Bangladeshi footballers are – Tapu Burman, Anisur Rahman Ziko, Touhidul Alam Sabuj, Sheikh Morsalin and Rimon Hossain.
Bashundhara played against Mazia Sport and Recreation Club of Maldives in the AFC Cup. The team played the match on September 19 and returned to Dhaka the next day. On the way back to the airport, they were served alcohol by customs officials.

In this event, Bashundhara Kings temporarily suspended those five soccer players. Additional investigation, according to the club administration, is ongoing. Imrul Hasan, the team president, informed the reporters, “Five players violated discipline. I’ve temporarily blacklisted them as a result of this. talking to everyone and conducting additional research. Action will be taken based on who is guilty at the conclusion of the investigation.

Interestingly, in the AFC Cup’s first round, Bashundhara fell to Sharjah 2-0. The group also dropped the game to Mazia. However, they defeated Odisha in the most recent game, winning 3-2. The following game for Bashundhara is on October 24 against Mohan Bagan.
