A Grief-Stricken Scene: Mourning Another Friend’s Passing A young man named Mohammad Arafat (28) died of cardiac arrest. Another young man, Mohammad Azam, went to dig his friend’s grave after hearing the news of his death. Azam fell ill while digging the grave, crying. Later, when he was taken to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead.
The doctor said that he also died due to cardiac arrest. The incident took place on Monday (September 18) in the Azimpara area of Hathazari, Chittagong.
The dead youths are Mohammad Arafat (28) and Mohammad Azam (28). Both are residents of Azim Para. Arafat of that area. The son of Moses, Mohammad Azam’s father’s name is Nurul Islam. Arafat worked in a shop making steel cupboards in Hathazari Sadar. Mohammad Azam is an autorickshaw driver by profession.
Mohammad Azam Uddin, the local councilor of Hathazari Municipality, said that Arafat died of cardiac arrest around 9 a.m. on Monday. Azam came there after hearing the news of his friend’s death. At that time, he fell ill while digging the grave while crying. First, he was taken to the Upazila Health Complex. Later, when the condition worsened, Azam was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, where he died.
The deceased Mohammad Arafat worked in a steel shop in Hathazari. Mohammad Azam was a rickshaw driver. Azam was married. He has two children at home. On the other hand, Arafat was single. However, her marriage was fixed. Relatives said that he was supposed to get married within a week.
