A moving bus caught fire in Ashulia.Miscreants set fire to a moving Savar Paribahan bus in front of Nandan Park in Ashulia. Later, the fire service personnel reached the spot and doused the fire.
The incident took place on the Nabinagar-bound lane at Baripara Nandan Park area of Nabinagar-Chandra highway on Tuesday night.Jirabo Mordan Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director. Alauddin said miscreants set fire to Savar’s transport bus.
On receiving the information, a unit was sent to the spot and the fire was brought under control. The bus was passing through Nabinagar bound lane. No casualties were reported.
Ashulia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Kamruzaman said, a Savar Paribahan bus was returning from Dhaka to Chandra with some passengers. On reaching Baripara area, the driver saw the fire at the back of the bus. There was no casualty when the bus was stopped and the passengers got off.
The miscreants boarded the bus disguised as passengers in the driver’s opinion. A case has been filed in Ashulia police station in this incident. However, he said that some people have been detained.
