A sub-inspector named Kamal Hossain died at Mahera Police Training Center in Tangail. He died on Sunday morning. Kamal Hossain is the son of deceased Moksed Ali Fakir of Pakjal village of Bauphal upazila of Patuakhali.
Mahera Police Training Center Commandant DIG. Nazrul Islam said that Kamal Hossain had a one kilometer running test at the training center this morning. While he and others were waiting for the PT test, Kamal Hossain suddenly fell to the ground. Later, the members of the medical team treated him and took him to Tangail General Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
He also said that a four-member investigation committee headed by Additional DID Ashraful Alam has been formed in this incident. The body will be handed over to the family after the legal process.
Resident Medical Officer of Tangail General Hospital Dr. Alamgir Hossain said that the policeman was brought to the hospital in a dead state. The cause of his death will be known after the post-mortem.
