Ansar has not been given powers of arrest, will not be: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that Ansar Battalion is not given powers to detain criminals, search bodies and seize goods and will not be given in future. He said, according to any law of the country, such power cannot be given to Ansar.He said this in response to reporters’ questions after the inter-ministerial meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday (October 25).
