Burnt in the New Year's lantern 3

Three people were burnt while flying lanterns on the roof of a house in Kamrangirchar of the capital. The victims are Md. Siam (16) and his two uncles. Rakib Hossain (18) and Md. Raihan (16). This incident happened on Sunday (December 31) around 12:30 pm.

Bachchu Mia, in-charge inspector of DMK Hospital police camp, confirmed the matter and said that three people were burnt while flying lanterns on the roof from Kamrangirchar. Later they were rescued and brought to Sheikh Hasina Burn Institute around 1:30 in the burnt condition. They are currently undergoing treatment at the Burn Institute’s emergency department.

Swapan Bepari, the father of the burnt Siam, said that my son Siam and my two brothers were burnt while flying lanterns on the roof of the house on the occasion of New Year. I quickly rescued them and brought them to the Sheikh Hasina Burn Institute. Son Siyam’s body was burnt and my brothers were slightly burnt. They are undergoing treatment in the emergency department.

There was a strict warning from the police, this time lanterns cannot be flown in the sky, there was a ban on fireworks. In the end, the people of Dhaka celebrated the new year by blowing lanterns in the sky and bursting firecrackers ‘like rain’ amid the ban.
