An empty bus parked by the road caught fire in the capital’s Uttara area tonight.
It could not be known immediately whether someone set it on fire or some mechanical problem caused it to go up in flames, said Alam Hossain, senior station officer at Uttara Fire Station.
The vehicle of Eagle Paribahan used to be operated on Dhaka-Benapole route, he added.
On information about the fire around 9:50pm, two fire fighting units rushed there and doused it, said Ershad Hossain, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.
