Climate literacy: WaterWomen organises training on future leadership

The first training titled “Shaping Future Leadership”, organised by WaterWomen under its Future Leadership Programme started in Dhaka on July 18, said a press release.

The training programme focuses on water and climate literacy for young women professionals.

Supported by the MAX Group, Buet Graduates Club Ltd, Swiss Water Partnership Youth, and WaterAid Bangladesh, the session will continue till July 21 at the Buet Graduates Club Ltd.

The training programme aims to enhance the knowledge of young women professionals, equipping them with the necessary leadership skills to excel, and establish connection between climate change concepts and WASH that hinders effective responses to emerging climate concerns.

Abdullah Al Arif, deputy secretary, Ministry of Water Resources; and Hasin Jahan, country director of WaterAid Bangladesh, inaugurated the four-day training session.

Engr Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, chairman, MAX Group, delivered motivational speech at the inaugural ceremony.
