Election of BNP will be lucky for the nation.Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said, “Time has not run out, it will be good for the nation if BNP comes to the polls.”
He said this in response to a question at an informal briefing on Sunday around 4:15 p.m. In response to a question, CEC said, ‘No decision has been taken to postpone the election yet. If necessary, the army will be deployed at the last stage.
Meanwhile, in response to a question about BNP’s non-participation in the election today, Election Commissioner (EC) Md. Anichur Rahman said, ‘Everyone has the right not to choose. If someone does not come to the election, there is no opportunity to force it. If anyone applies and wants to come to the polls we will consider. We have enough time.’
He said these things in response to the questions of journalists after an exchange meeting on law and order in Chittagong district at Chittagong Circuit House.
