On The Last Day Of The Siege, Fire And Cocktails Were Found In Buses In The Capital
Today is the third and last day of the blockade called by BNP. A bus caught Fire And Cocktails in Uttara and a cocktail was recovered in Neelkshet. However, like the last two days, no leader or worker of the party was seen in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan this morning. There are policemen under strict guard.
Traffic is moving smoothly in Paltan and Kakrail areas as both the roads are open. Train movement across the country is also normal. Almost all trains leave the capital on time.
However, even on the third day of the blockade across the country, there is no presence of passengers in long-distance bus services. No bus is leaving. This image was seen at Mahakhali and Gabtali bus terminals on Thursday (November 2) morning.
Those concerned say that the owners are not leaving the bus due to fear of blockade and lack of passengers. Workers are spending idle time.
There has been an incident of spreading panic by setting Fire And Cocktails to a bus in the capital’s Uttara. On Thursday morning, a Parishthan transport bus was set on fire by the protesters. However, no casualties were reported in the fire. On receiving information, police and Fire And Cocktails service personnel reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
The bomb disposal unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police recovered three unexploded cocktails from Neelkhet area on Thursday morning and detonated them safely.
According to the police, three cocktails were found at the intersection in front of Niharika Bhawan next to Neelkhet police station. Two men wearing helmets came from Neelkhet on a motorcycle, threw the cocktails and ran away.
A morning-evening hartal called by BNP was observed across the country on Sunday (October 29) in protest against last Saturday’s mass rally and the police attack there. Then, at a virtual press conference last Sunday at 6:30 pm, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, announced that BNP and its partner Democracy Forum will observe a continuous blockade from October 31 to November 2.
