Covered van driver Khademul Islam said, I was going to Narayanganj by car from Kashimpur. At around 6:30, miscreants along with 7-8 motorcycles stopped my covered van. When I stopped the car, they threw bricks and broke the front glass of the car. At one point they poured petrol and set it on fire and fled. The broken glass cut my hand.

Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service, Abdullah Al Arefin, said that two fire service units arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control after half an hour. The front of two covered vans were gutted in the fire but no one was injured.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gacha Police Station of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP). Shah Alam said that in the morning someone set fire to two covered vans and escaped.
