Rapid Action Battalion has arrested a suspected operative of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB) from Naogaon’s Sapahar upazila.
The arrestee, Arif Hossain, is accused in a case filed under Anti-Terrorism Act, said a press release issued by Rab-5 in Joypurhat today.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Rab-2 and Rab-5 arrested Arif from his home in Madhail village yesterday afternoon.
Rab later handed him over to Sapahar Police Station.
According to the Rab, Arif went into hiding after securing bail from a court.
Later, an arrest warrant was issued against him.
