Hajjatri Registration Period Extended Till December 31.The notification published yesterday (December 10) said that the final list of pilgrims of 2024 must be sent to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Saudi government by January 7. Tents will not be available at convenient locations in Mina if the final number of pilgrims is not received within the stipulated time.

In that case, the tent should be taken in a relatively remote area of Jamarah in Mina. In order to avoid such a situation, the registration period has been extended but the time will not be extended again, it has been informed in the notification.

The notification also said that pre-registered Hajj pilgrims can register for Haj through both public and private channels till 31 December 2023. The registration server will automatically shut down as soon as the quota for government mediums and agencies is reached.

Initial registration can be done by depositing Tk 2 lakh 5 thousand in Sonali Bank for all packages through government channels. The remaining amount of the package price must be deposited in the same bank by 29 February 2024.

After the initial registration, if he fails to deposit the remaining money within the stipulated time, he will not be able to go for Hajj and the money paid will be spent on house rent and Muallem fees in Makkah-Madinah, so the money will not be refunded.

According to the order of registration of Hajj pilgrims, among the houses rented by the government, houses closer to Haram Sharif will be allotted on priority basis. There will be no option to change the package after the initial registration fee has been deposited. The option of registration without train in general Hajj package through government has been cancelled.

Moreover, initial registration can be done in private agencies by depositing Tk 2 lakh 5 thousand for air fare and expenses to Saudi Arabia. The pre-registration fee through the Haj agency has been fixed at Tk 30,000 instead of Tk 30,752 from January 1, 2024.

The pre-registration and registration money cannot be paid in cash to any person other than the designated bank account of the Hajj Agency and the Hajj Agency cannot accept cash.

A written contract will be executed between the pilgrim and the agency detailing all the services and package prices of the Hajj activities. Failure to do so will not be acceptable to any party.
