Hearing the word of democracy from the mouth of BNP, horses lay eggs Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader My News Bangladesh

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader commented that after hearing the talk of democracy and fair elections in BNP’s mouth today, even horses lay eggs. He said these things in a press statement sent to the media on Sunday (October 8).

Bridges Minister commented that BNP is begging foreigners for mercy through Mayakanna to influence the election system of the country. In the statement, Obaidul Quader said that BNP has been joking with the people of the country since its birth about Bangladesh’s democracy and elections.

BNP, built by dictator Ziaur Rahman, who seized power illegally and unconstitutionally, is a political party traditionally and institutionally opposed to freedom-democracy, constitution and elections. Ziaur Rahman, who seized power at gunpoint in independent Bangladesh, turned Bangladesh’s electoral system into a farce.

He said, ‘The countrymen have not forgotten, in 2006 the US-based National Democratic Institute (NDI)’s research and investigation revealed the fraud of BNP in creating 12 million fake voters. BNP has always captured state power through assassinations and conspiracies and bloodshed.

Behind the demands of the so-called caretaker government, the BNP is once again carrying out a conspiracy to seize power through assassination-cue-conspiracy and terror.’

Obaidul Quader also said that the course of elections, democracy and politics of Bangladesh will not be determined by the will of any foreign power, similarly it will not deviate in the face of the threat of terrorism and anarchy created by any anti-national force. Awami League is ready to make any kind of sacrifice to protect the spirit of the great liberation war, hard-earned democracy, ongoing march of development and progress, people’s right to vote, rule of law and the interests of the people of the country.
