Indian government has stopped visa service for Canadian citizens. New Delhi suspended the service indefinitely from Thursday.
Visa services for Canadians will remain suspended until further notice, the Indian Visa service Application Center said in a statement on Thursday.
Indian media reports that Ottawa has expelled a senior Canadian diplomat directly blaming the Indian government for the killing of a prominent Sikh leader in Canada.
As a countermeasure, the Indian government also expelled a Canadian diplomat.
Meanwhile, the western world is shaken by this unprecedented incident between the two allies of the United States. The deteriorating relationship between India and Canada is expected to hit rock bottom over this Sikh movement.
