Advocate Bhuvan Chandra Sheel, who sustained serious injuries in a shooting incident near the BG Press area of the Tejgaon industrial zone in the capital city, has passed away. His brother-in-law, Tapas Majumdar, confirmed to Independent Television that Bhuvan Chandra Sheel breathed his last around 10:30 a.m. on Monday. On the previous Saturday, September 23, Bhuvan Chandra Sheel underwent surgery to remove two fragments from his head and remained on life support due to his inability to regain consciousness.

On the evening of the previous Monday, September 19, Bhuvan was shot while returning home on a rented motorcycle along the road between City Petrol Pump and BG Press in the Tejgaon Industrial Area of the capital. On that day, the Officer-in-Charge of Tejgaon Industrial Police Station, Majaharul, revealed that the shots, intended for the notorious criminal Mamun, had missed their mark and resulted in Bhuvan’s injury. He was initially admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later transferred to Dhanmondi Popular Hospital for further treatment, where he remained under medical care.
