January 7 12th National Parliament Election

Voting for the 12th National Election will be held on Sunday, January 7. And the last date for submission of nomination papers has been fixed on 30 November, selection of nomination papers will be from 1 to 4 December, last date for filing and disposal of appeals is 6 to 15 December, last day for withdrawal of nomination papers is 17 December, allotment of symbols will be on 18 December. The election campaign will continue from December 18 to January 5, 2024 at 12 midnight.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal announced the schedule of the 12th National Election in his address to the nation on Wednesday.

In his speech, Kazi Habibul Awal said: The Election Commission will conduct the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections in a free, fair and impartial manner. He called upon the people to fight against muscle power and black money in the polls.CEC has assured all the political parties about the fair elections.

During the election of the 11th National Parliament, there were 10 crore 42 lakh 38 thousand 677 voters. Accordingly, the number of voters in the country increased by 1 crore 54 lakh 52 thousand 956 people in 5 years.
