A Jubo League activist was stabbed during a clash between BNP activists, ruling Awami League supporters, and police in Dhaka’s Uttara this afternoon.
Mohibur Rahman Nayan was stabbed in the wrist of his right arm by a BNP activist at Uttara High School and College intersection around 12:30pm, said Muktar Ali, acting general secretary of Dakshinkhan (north) Jubo League.
Nayan was admitted to Crescent Hospital, he added.
Officer-in-Charge of Uttara West Police Station Masud Ali said, “I have heard about such an incident. But we have not received any complaint about this yet.”
According to locals, Jubo League leaders and activists chased away BNP supporters in Uttara, triggering a clash between the parties.
