Kashimpur Central Jail.Police have arrested the chief jailer of Kashimpur High Security Central Jail in Gazipur along with 300 pieces of Yaba. On Monday (December 18) at noon, other prison guards searched him and recovered that Yaba.
The arrested jailer is Saiful Islam (59), son of Abdul Jalil of Adalbiti village of Chandpur Matlab police station. He was serving as Chief Jailor in Kashimpur High Security Central Jail.
According to the prison authorities and the police, at around 12 o’clock on Monday, the chief prison guard Saiful Islam went to enter the high security prison. At this time he was searched by other guards as per the rules. Later, 300 pitches of Yaba were found in the pan’s right pocket of his uniform. Later he was arrested and handed over to Konabari police station.
Jail Superintendent Subrata Kumar Bala said that no one is allowed to enter the jail without a search. He was trying to evade the prison guards. But it didn’t help. Departmental action will be taken against him. Konabari police station OC Ziaul Islam said preparations are underway to file a case against the arrested.
