Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Imran Ahmad Bhuiyan has been dismissed, said Law Minister Anisul Haque. He said, Dr. Imran Ahmad Bhuiyan violated discipline by making statements about Muhammad Yunus.
The Law Minister said this to reporters at Akhaura railway junction in Brahmanbaria on Friday morning.
“Thousands of leaders and activists are roaming in the court’s balcony, I may also have to go to jail,” Anisul Haque said in response to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s fear, “I don’t know whether he (Mirza Fakhrul) has committed any crime or not.” Why should he go to jail? But if he has committed any crime then he has to go to jail.

Later the minister left for Kasba. Earlier, the Law Minister reached Akhaura Railway Junction by Mahanagar Express train around 10:30 am.

Deputy Attorney General Emran spoke to reporters in front of the extended building of the High Court on Monday. He said, ‘I think, Dr. Yunus is an honorable man. He is being defamed and it is judicial harassment. All employees of the Attorney General’s Office have been notified to sign it. I have decided not to sign this statement.’
