Anisur Rahman, the Election Commissioner, announced today that the next national elections will be place in the first week of January.
He noted that the actual day of polling has yet to be determined while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of training for election officials.
The event was conducted at the Electoral Training Institute, and the chief guest was Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal. All four election commissioners spoke as well.
“With today’s training, the formal process of the next parliamentary election has started,” Anisur added.
