Videos viral on social media show passengers wading through flooded water to enter the city’s LeGuardia airport. The airport also closed one of its terminals. In this situation, the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, urged citizens not to go out.

Eric Adams said, stay at home. Those at work or school should take shelter in nearby shelters, some of our subways are flooded and it’s extremely difficult to get around the city. It is hoped that the situation will return to normal soon.
