The NID service will be closed for 64 hours from today Thursday (October 26) for server migration work. System Analyst Mamunur Hossain informed about this in a letter on Wednesday.
It is said that during the server room relocation, all server/network related services will be closed from 26 October 5 pm to 28 October night to transfer all equipment including servers, networking devices, storage to the main room. Services will resume as usual on October 29 (Sunday) at 9 am. That means NID service will be closed for 64 hours.
175 public and private institutions including mobile operators, financial institutions, law enforcement agencies, and others are using the NID server to verify the identity of citizens.
