Notification declaring January 7 as a public vacation. The federal government has declared a common vacation on January 7. As per the schedule introduced by the EC, polling for the twelfth nationwide election might be held on January 7, 2024.

This vacation was introduced in a notification signed by Sonia Hasan, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, by order of the President on Thursday.

In line with the notification, on the event of the twelfth nationwide parliament election, on the event of the twelfth nationwide parliament election on Sunday, January 7, 2024, the officers/workers working in all authorities, semi-government, autonomous and personal places of work/establishments/organizations and authorities, non-public A common vacation has been declared all through the nation to facilitate voting and voting of lecturers/officers/workers of academic establishments.

Earlier on December 24, the Election Fee (EC) had instructed the Ministry of Public Administration to declare a common vacation on January 7, the day of the twelfth Nationwide Meeting election. 

Within the EC’s letter to the Ministry of Public Affairs, it was stated that the parliamentary elections might be held on January 7. On the event of elections, polling day i.e. January 7 must be declared as a common vacation throughout the nation.
