State Minister for Public Administration and Meherpur District Awami League President Farhad Hossain said that the gun has no barrel and no bullets. That is dummy candidates.

He said this to reporters while laying flowers at the historic Mujibnagar Memorial in Meherpur on Wednesday afternoon. He said that the Prime Minister has announced to keep dummy candidates in this election. As Dammy we know that we paraded as children. There used to be a gun, which had no barrel and no bullets. That is Dammy. It doesn’t even bloom. Doesn’t hurt either. So we will put a dummy candidate in the election. So that no one is elected in any seat un-contested. We will have a free, fair, beautiful, transparent and participative election through competition. That is our subject.

About Mujibnagar University, he also said that initially the activities of Mujibnagar University will be started in Meherpur Government College. There are rules for starting Mujibnagar University activities in a rented building. To start our activities initially, we are thinking of some places to teach. It may also be that the academic building of Meherpur Government College will be started.

Mujibnagar University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rabiul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kadir Mia, Meherpur District Awami League Vice President and Pirojpur Union Parishad Chairman Abdus Samad Bablu Biswas, Mahajanpur Union Parishad Chairman Amam Hossain Milu, Shyampur Union Parishad Chairman Matiur Rahman Matin and others.
