Private car lost control in Kaliakore killed 2.Two passengers were killed when a private car lost control and crashed into an island on the highway at Kaliakore in Gazipur. The incident took place around 4:30 am on Sunday morning at Pallividyut area of Kaliakair upazila of Dhaka-Tangail highway district. The deceased are Abu Taher (45) and Ibrahim (36).

According to the police and local sources, when a Dhaka-bound private car reached the rural power area of the Dhaka-Tangail highway around 4:30 am on Sunday, the vehicle lost control and hit the island of the highway. Two people in the car died on the spot.

Shahadat Hossain, the in-charge of highway police of Naojo, said that the private car and the body were recovered and kept at the highway police station. However, in view of the request of the relatives of the deceased, the process of handing over the bodies to the relatives without post-mortem is going on.
