The intelligence department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that the members of the gang quickly changed the number plates of the car after committing the robbery. They broke their used mobiles and SIM cards and threw them into the water. The Gulshan Division of DMP’s Detective Police (DB) has arrested seven members of the absconding dacoit gang from seven districts of the country.
The arrested are Sabuj Mia alias Shyamal (39), Saharul Islam alias Sagar (23), Abu Yusuf (41), Didar Didar Munshi (35), Ferdous Waheed (35), Alamin Duari Dipu (42) and Daud Hossain Molya (39). ). During the arrest, the private car used in the robbery, RAB jacket, handcuffs, toy pistol, wireless set, mobile phone and gold ornaments bought with the robbery money and the remaining 23 lakh 85 thousand rupees were seized from them.
DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid gave this information in a press conference at DMP’s media center on Minto Road in the capital on Sunday afternoon in elevated expressway.
Each member of this gang has 10-15 robbery, dacoity, extortion and drug cases in the name of DMP in 13 districts of the country.
In various incidents, robbers use handcuffs and walkie-talkies to identify themselves as RAB-DB-Police. When asked how they get these things, Haroon or Rashid said, we will remand the accused and interrogate them in detail.
