Russia proposes a cease-fire in Gaza to the United Nations
According to the AFP report, a draft resolution was presented by Russia in a closed-door meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Friday (October 13). It called for an immediate ceasefire and the release of prisoners. Also, the draft resolution has criticized all kinds of atrocities and terrorist activities against civilians.
Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, said, “We want to make it clear that the Security Council must stop the bloodshed and resume peace talks with the goal of establishing a Palestinian state.”He also said that some member countries of the Security Council have shown a positive attitude regarding the draft proposal.
