The shooting occurred at a wedding ceremony in Canada’s Ottawa province. At least two people were killed. At least six others were injured. The shooting took place late Saturday night local time, in the parking lot of the wedding venue.

Two wedding ceremonies were going on at the same time in that venue. At that time, shots were fired outside the venue. Terrified guests ran for safety during the gunfire.
Eyewitness Niko, who came to pick up his friend from the wedding ceremony, said that there was extreme chaos. People were running without any general direction. People are running everywhere.
He said the shots were fired quickly. Then screams are heard. Then the firing is resumed after a pause for some time. As far as I can remember, more than 15 to 16 shots were fired.
The witness said that the shooting started in the parking lot at the south end of the convention hall around 10:21 p.m. local time on Saturday. There were two separate wedding receptions going on at the same time. At that time, the police ordered us to stay inside the car. We could not leave the scene.
Ottawa police have confirmed the deaths of two young men, aged 26 and 29, in the shooting incident. They both live in Toronto, the country’s largest city. Police say American citizens are among the six injured in the shooting. However, their condition is safe. Ottawa police have not released the identities of those injured in the shooting.
