Taosif, who was missing in Dhaka, was found in Jessore

Taosif Jawad Ahmed, who went missing from Dhaka 11 days ago, has been found. Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) rescued him from Jessore. He is currently undergoing treatment at Jessore Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Hatirjheel Police Station (OC) Shah Md. Awlad Hossain confirmed this information to Prothom Alo on Saturday and said that the PBI members saw Taosif walking around like a stray in Jessore. They rescued him and admitted him to Jessore Medical on Saturday morning. Later, during the interrogation, the PBI found out that the person admitted to the hospital was Tausif.

This police officer also said that Jessore PBI informed him after identifying Tausif’s identity. Later, he contacted Tauseef’s family. His family members left for Jessore. Efforts are on to find out how he went to Jessore.

On September 12, Tauseef went missing. In this incident, his sister Tanzina Ahmed made a general diary at Hatirjheel police station. Tanzina Ahmed then told Prothom Alo that Taosif works at ‘Sikho.com’, a digital education platform. They live with their parents in a rented house in Rampura of the capital.

Tanjila said that Tausif returned home after work at nine o’clock on September 12. Then go downstairs to withdraw money from the ATM booth. When he did not return even at 11 pm, he called Tausif’s mobile phone. However, it is closed. Since then his brother could not be traced.
