The Security Council is holding a closed-door meeting on the situation in Gaza

The United Nations Security Council is holding a closed-door meeting today on the Gaza war.

It is known that this meeting of the United Arab Emirates and China is going to be held at the request of the United Nations Security Council. It is reported that the Security Council may consider adopting a new resolution on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict at the meeting.

The initiators of the new proposal are the 10 elected members of the Security Council.

Four resolutions calling for a ceasefire or humanitarian pause have already been defeated by vetoes by the permanent members of the Security Council.

More than 10 days have passed since the Security Council failed to pass the last two resolutions.

It should be noted that the fighters of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas suddenly conducted an unprecedented operation inside Israel on October 7. Israel then launched its barbaric war machine. Since that day, 9,770 Palestinians, including 4,008 children and 2,550 women, have been killed in brutal attacks by the occupying forces.

Tel Aviv has cut off fuel, electricity, food and drinking water supply lines for 2.3 million residents of Gaza. Resistance fighters have continued to attack US military bases in Iraq and Syria with drones and missiles since Israel launched a war against Gaza.

Israel’s attack has caused a humanitarian disaster in Gaza. In this situation, various countries and international organizations have been demanding a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. But Israel has been rejecting it. The United States is on the side of Israel on the issue of ceasefire. America has directly stated that they do not want a full ceasefire.
