Three dead in Israeli border assault on Lebanon.After seven consecutive days of cease-fire, Israel and the Palestinian independence group Hamas have again engaged in conflict. The local health ministry said 178 Palestinians were killed in the besieged Gaza Strip in just one day of the renewed conflict. Also 589 people were injured there during this time.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched attacks targeting Israeli troops on the northern border. In response, Israeli forces shelled the Lebanese border. Three people were killed in their attack.On Friday (December 1), Qatar-based media Al-Jazeera reported this information.
Hezbollah says the three killed are members of its organization. The armed group said the attack targeted soldiers using ‘appropriate weapons’ near an Israeli military installation.
In a post on social media, the Israel Defense Forces said Hezbollah fighters targeted army camps in Ros Hankara, Margaliot and Kirat Samona. However, they claimed that all the attacks were resisted and counter-attacks were carried out. This is Hezbollah’s first attack against Israeli forces since the end of the ceasefire.
