RAB has arrested two accused for life sentences in the case of the murder of a son by tenants in Chandpur. In this case, two other people are still absconding, including the person sentenced to death. An operation is underway to catch them. RAB-11 informed the public of this information in a press release on Saturday.

The arrested are Yusuf Molla (36) and Mahbub Molla (38) who were sentenced to life. Mother Khuki Begum and her lover are still absconding. Joynal Ghazi.

According to RAB, on August 23, the Additional District and Sessions Court of Chandpur sentenced four people involved in Arif’s murder. But they remain on the run. Later, RAB started an investigation. August 31 from the Mawa area of Munshiganj police station. Yusuf Molla was arrested and handed over to the Faridganj police station on the same day.

On the other hand, Mahbub Molla was arrested from the Kanchpur area of Sonargaon police station in Narayanganj in an RAB raid in September. He gave a lot of information during the initial interrogation. According to the RAB, an operation is underway to nab the two convicts who have been sentenced to death.

From the details of the case, it is known that the incident happened in Haimchar Upazila of the district. The murdered son, Arif Hossain (25), knew about Zainal Gazi’s extramarital affairs with his mother, Khuki Begum.

The mother-son relationship deteriorates with this. Arif got married at the beginning of 2015. After that, there were disputes with the mother, son, and son’s wife on various issues. Meanwhile, Khuki Begum plans to kill her son. On November 16, 2015, the son’s wife sent Asma to her father’s house. Then on November 18, Arif’s boyfriend, Zainal Ghazi, and his accomplices beat Arif with a hockey stick while he was sleeping, hacked him with a knife, and cut him with a blade.

The next morning, on November 19, Khuki Begum called the boy’s wife and said that the robbers had injured Arif. Later, he died on the way when he was rescued and brought to Dhaka. In this incident, on the same day, Asma filed a murder case against unknown persons, including her mother-in-law Khuki Begum, at Haimchar police station.
