Unauthorized departure to France cost Kubi office helper his job. Manwara Saki, office assistant, left her job at Comilla University (Kubi) and went to France. After seven and a half months of absence without leave, the Cuban authorities removed him from his job.
Kubi Registrar Amirul Haque Chowdhury confirmed the removal. He has been absent from work since April 2 this year without leave. He was working in Kubir Estate Branch.
Absent for more than two months is considered absconding, the removal office order, written on November 16, said. Several times he was sent show cause letters but he did not respond. The decision to remove was taken at the Syndicate meeting on 09 October.
Meanwhile, Manowara Sakhi’s Facebook ID shows that she is in France. He uploaded a picture of himself standing next to the Eiffel Tower on November 10. Captioned – ‘Dream from your heart, Inshallah it will come true.’
Manowara Saki’s father Abul Khair said that Manowara Saki has been in France for almost a year. He did not comment on Manwara Saki’s removal from service due to absenteeism.
