He said these things in response to the questions of journalists after an exchange meeting on law and order in Chittagong district at Chittagong Circuit House on Sunday.Anichur Rahman said, ‘Many small parties are participating in this election. This election will be contested. We are not only watching this election with our eyes, the world is also watching. So there is no option to not accept the election, it has to be done.’
In response to a question about BNP’s non-participation in the elections, he said, ‘Everyone has the right not to vote. If someone does not come to the election, there is no opportunity to force it. If anyone applies and wants to come to the polls we will consider. We have enough time.’
