Wife of GM Quader denied bail.During the 12th National Assembly elections, Sherifa Quader, who is married to GM Quader, the chairman of the Jatiya Party, was unable to avoid losing her security in the Dhaka-18 seat. This seat was won by Khosru Chowdhury, an independent candidate, in a private election.
With the emblem of a kettle, Khosru received 79 thousand and 85 votes. There was another independent candidate named Tofazzal Hossain who received 44 thousand 909 votes with the truck emblem. He was his closest competitor. After using the plow symbol, Sherifa Quader received a total of 6,429 votes.
It should be noted that the Awami League surrendered this seat to the Jatiya Party in accordance with the coalition agreement. The reason for this was that the Awami League did not have any candidates running for the boat emblem.
