A young woman named Sahida Islam Meem (21) died after falling from the Malibagh flyover bridge under Ramna police station in the capital. The incident happened yesterday Sunday night.
On receiving the news, the police of Ramna police station recovered his body. Later, after the legal process, the body was sent to the mortuary of Dhamek Hospital for post-mortem after making a report at 3 pm.
The sub-inspector (SI) of that police station Amena Khanam prepared the surathal report. He mentioned in Surathal report, whether he was raped before his death, and whether he was addicted to drugs. The police officer told the victim’s mother that one of his friends had called and taken Sahida to talk about having coffee. He could not tell more than that.
How, why or how the actual incident happened is being investigated. Besides, after the autopsy report and investigation, the actual incident can be said.
Sahida is the daughter of late Sheikh Abu Saeed and Azimun Islam Najma of Bagichar Tech, West Rampura of Hatirjheel police station. At present Omar Ali of Hatirjheel police station lived in Hope Kunj.
