At the end of September 2022, the number of crores of these accounts was one lakh six thousand 520. In the course of the year, the number of crores of rupees has increased to seven thousand 66. According to the data, the total number of depositors in the bank sector till September 2023 is 14 crore 97 lakh 70 thousand 684. 17 lakh 13 thousand 134 crores are deposited as these. Out of this, 7 lakh 25 thousand 550 crores are deposited as crores of taka.
Account holders account for 42.35 percent of the total deposits of the banking sector.
According to Bangladesh Bank, in September 2023, the number of accounts between 1 crore and 5 crore rupees is 89 thousand 760. In which the deposit is 1 lakh 87 thousand 327 crore taka. 86 thousand 312 crores deposited as 12 thousand 221 rupees from 5 crores to 10 crores.
Besides, there are 4 thousand 74 accounts between 10 crores and 15 crores, 1 thousand 968 accounts between 15 crores and 20 crores, 1 thousand 274 accounts between 20 crores and 25 crores, and 919 accounts between 25 crores and 30 crores.
