Cold flow has started in northern region

Cold flow has started in northern region.The effects of winter are being felt in the country since last 4 days after Cyclone Migjaum. It is gradually becoming intense. The Meteorological Office has given a glimpse of the onset of mild cold wave in the northern part of the country from Wednesday. It will continue till December 18. The temperature will drop further in Dhaka. As a result, people’s lifestyle has already started to decline. The use of warm clothes has increased. Sales of winter clothes have also increased. And due to the decrease in temperature, there is a fear of winter diseases and crop damage. 

Meteorologist Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik said that the temperature of the whole country will decrease from Wednesday. Another 1 to 3 degrees may drop on Thursday night. This trend of decreasing temperature will continue till December 18. 

In particular, the temperature of various areas including Dinajpur, Rangpur, Kurigram, Naogaon, Thakurgaon, Nilphamari, Gaibandha and Jessore in the north-western part of the country may fall below 10 degrees. Temperature may drop in Madaripur, Faridpur and Gopalganj districts of Dhaka division. 

Dense fog will prevail in these areas from midnight to morning. On Tuesday, the lowest temperature in the country was 11.8 degrees in Tentulia. According to Met Office data, when the temperature is between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius, it is called a mild cold front. 6 to 8 degrees is moderate, 4 to 6 degrees is severe and when the temperature falls below 4 degrees, it is called extreme cold. 

According to the weather forecast, the temperature may drop below 10 degrees in some parts of the northwestern part of the country from Wednesday. This situation may continue till December 18. Even if there is no cold current at this time, severe cold will be felt in Dhaka.
