Israel is preparing for a ground operation in Lebanon: report
Israel is preparing for a ground operation in Lebanon. Since October 16 of the previous year, Israel has been carrying out ground operations in the Gaza Strip, which is a Palestinian territory. In the days leading up to incident, Israeli soldiers began conducting airstrikes in the region on October 2007.
During the course of this heinous onslaught carried out by Zionist Israel, there have been more than twenty-four thousand two hundred and eighty-five Palestinians slain. Over seventy percent of them are comprised of females and children. Over sixty thousand Palestinians were wounded in the conflict.
Nevertheless, during this interim period, Israel has started to decrease the number of military personnel stationed in different parts of Gaza. During this time, it has been claimed that the Israeli army is getting ready to begin a ground operation in the southern region of Lebanon. For this reason, the Israeli forces who have been stationed on the border with Lebanon are now participating in intense training exercises.
Since Israel began its attack in Gaza at the beginning of October, tensions with Hezbollah have increased along the border with Lebanon. Since then, Hezbollah and Israeli soldiers have continued to engage in gunfire with one another.
The Al-Jazeera news station, which is located in Qatar, has reported that Israeli forces are conducting large-scale drills across the border. The primary purpose of these exercises is to execute ground operations in parts of southern Lebanon that are held by Hezbollah organization.
According to a story that was published earlier by the news agency Reuters, which cited Zionist sources, Israeli special troops had already crossed the border into Lebanon and conducted a ground operation. On the other hand, Al-Mayadeen TV, which is located in Lebanon, refused to acknowledge the news and said that the report of Israeli ground soldiers crossing the border with Lebanon was not accurate.
According to a report by Al-Jazeera, which received its information from Uri Gordin, the northern commander of the Israeli military, at least 20,000 soldiers have been stationed along the border with Lebanon. The Zionist Army has produced a video in which Gordin can be seen speaking to Israeli troops as they are participating in a training exercise.
Following the bombings carried out by Hezbollah, Tel Aviv forced the evacuation of people from major portions of northern Israel. In the present moment, there is no indication that these Zionists will be returned to their homes. In the event that Israel intends to intensify the conflict, Hezbollah has issued a stern warning that the resistance organization would not hesitate to increase the number of strikes it launches.
