Israel reduced the death toll from Hamas attacks:On October 7, Hamas fighters, a Palestinian resistance group based in Gaza, suddenly entered Israel and launched an unprecedented attack.The Israeli authorities officially said that a total of 1,400 people including civilians, military personnel and foreign nationals were killed in this incident.
However, the country has revised that list. Israel has said that the death toll has been reduced to 1,200 people.
Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Hayat said the revised death toll was because many bodies were not immediately identified after the attack.
