Penalty for hunting guest birds in Khulna.A person named Sarwar Gazi (45) was arrested on charges of hunting and selling guest birds in Aranghata area of Khulna. Later he was fined five thousand rupees.
The guest birds include 19 dunkers and one duck. After these seizures, the birds were released.Police arrested Sarwar Gazi along with 20 guest birds while patrolling Aranghata bypass road on Wednesday afternoon.
Later, Dumuria Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land (ACland) SM Ashish Momtaz fined the bird poacher five thousand rupees under Section 38 (1) of the Wildlife Conservation and Safety Act-2012. The guest birds are released in the sluicegate area.
