Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon expatriate Bangladeshis to stand up against miscreants to brighten the country’s image. He made this call when the leaders of Awami League and affiliated organizations went to meet the Prime Minister in London on Tuesday (October 3).

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that a group of people are spreading slander against the country after being involved in various crimes and corruption. The Prime Minister directed the leaders to be active on digital and social platforms to counter this propaganda.

He also urged the critics of various developmental activities of the government to visit the whole country. He said, I can claim that the standard of living of the rural people of Bangladesh has improved and Awami League will do all the remaining work for their better life if it is in power.

Bangladesh High Commissioner appointed in London Saida Muna Tasnim moderated the Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen. Sylhet Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, United Kingdom Awami League General Secretary Syed Sajidur Rahman Farooq and Awami League leaders and activists from various European countries were present.
