There is no alternative to dialogue Agriculture Minister Razzak My News Bangladesh

Agriculture Minister and Awami League presidium member Dr. Md. Abdur Razzak said that many problems in the world have been solved through discussion. There is no alternative to dialogue. We have to do that. We also say and we also think that we have to solve this problem through dialogue. He said this while talking to reporters in his office at the Secretariat on Monday (October 30) in response to questions.

The agriculture minister said that the ongoing political problems in the country should be solved through dialogue, “We are not against dialogue, but dialogue cannot be done by closing the door.” If they (BNP) say that Sheikh Hasina should resign. This government will not go to the elections.

They will not hold elections under this election commission – they have said these two things in such a way, what will happen by discussing here! There is no opportunity to go outside the constitution and elect at the moment. So it won’t happen. The election commission has been done through discussion. If there is no election commission, how will the election be held?’

He said, ‘There is a constitutional obligation to form a new government and implement it by January 29, Parliament must sit. If they accept these basic issues, then we must sit with them and discuss how to make the election beautiful, if any SP or DC should be removed or any other proposal can be decided through discussion.

But the Prime Minister has to flee the country, will not find a place to escape – if he says this every day, what dialogue will there be? That dialogue will not be fruitful. We are not against dialogue but dialogue cannot be done by closing the door. InshAllah there will be elections and I think their wisdom will emerge in a moment then they will also come to the elections. They will not succeed in the movement.’
