Two brothers were hacked to death with sharp weapons in Gazipur metropolis. The deceased are the son of Abul Kasem of Mymensingh’s Nandail Thana, Mahishkura. Shafiqul Islam (32) and Md. Shukkur Ali (28).
The incident took place on Friday (October 20) around 7:30 pm in Bangalgach Bansh Patti area. Sadar Police Station OC Ziaul Haque confirmed this to the media. He said that they are being investigated as to who killed them.

Sumaiya, wife of deceased Shafiqul, said, “My husband Shafiqul Islam was a bus helper in Balaka.” In the afternoon, he went fishing from home. A man named Russell came and informed that my husband was fighting. When I got the news, I found that my husband and brother-in-law had been killed.

Locals said that the victims were terrorists. The body was recovered and sent to the hospital for post-mortem. The shop was closed after the incident. The situation is calm in the area.
After the incident, the police recovered the bodies of the two brothers and sent them to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital Mortuary for autopsy. In this incident, senior police officials visited the scene.
