Youth Dal chief arrested in Dinajpur for setting fireplace to 2 vans. Anwar Hossain Imran, a Juba Dal chief, has been arrested by the police for setting fireplace and throwing brickbats at two separate vans in Dinajpur’s Kaharol. The detained Anwar Hossain Imran (34) is the son of Abul Kashem of Sundail village of Kaharol Upazila and joint convener of Kaharol Upazila Youth Dal.
On this regard, Superintendent of Police Shah Iftekhar Ahmed gave particulars in a press convention at his workplace on Monday. Extra Superintendent of Police Mominul Karim, Extra Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al Masum, Extra Superintendent of Police of Dinajpur Sadar Circle Jinnat Al Mamun, Extra Superintendent of Police of Birganj Circle Khodadad Hossain, Incharge of Kaharol Thana Farukul Islam and Incharge of Birganj Thana Mojibur Rahman and others had been current.
Confirming the matter in a press convention on Monday afternoon, Superintendent of Police Shah Iftekhar Ahmed mentioned that to hinder the upcoming nationwide elections, varied acts of sabotage had been being carried out to disrupt public life, together with fireplace terrorism. Following this, Juba Dal chief Anwar Hossain Imran was arrested in a police raid on expenses associated to the incident of setting fireplace to 2 vans in Kaharol. An operation is underway to nab others concerned within the incident. All of them are energetic members of BNP, mentioned the Superintendent of Police.
It’s identified that throughout the nationwide strike program, a truck loaded with paddy was set on fireplace in entrance of Mohammadpur Main College of Mukundpur UP in Kaharol on the evening of November 27 and one other truck was set on fireplace in Amtali and Mahuagao areas of Kaharol on the evening of December 6.
