The Bangladesh Financial institution on Sunday set the goal of agriculture and rural credit score disbursement for banks at Tk 35,000 crore for the 2023-2024 fiscal yr.
The goal is 13.60 p.c larger than that for fiscal yr 2022-23.
Over the last fiscal yr, the nation’s banks disbursed Tk 32,829.89 crore as farm mortgage, which is 106.55 p.c of the goal.
A complete of three,618,545 farmers acquired farm loans in fiscal 2022-23.
BB Deputy Governor AKM Sajedur Rahman Khan introduced the goal on the BB headquarters.
